We maintain and manage roads systematically.
Naka Public Works Office manages expressways and public roads, excluding national roads, and maintains road-related facilities to ensure safe, smooth and comfortable traffic for users.

〇 When there is something wrong with the road
If you are on public roads other than expressways and national roads in the city, please contact Naka Public Works Office.
Oh About street trees
Street trees are pruned about once every two to three years depending on the type of tree for the purpose of healthy growth of trees.
If you have any questions about street trees, please contact Naka Public Works Office.
Trees that cross the road from private land cannot be cut in principle in Naka Public Works Office.
Oh About weeding
If you are on public roads other than expressways and national roads in the city, please contact Naka Public Works Office.
In addition, plants that cross the border from private land to roads on private roads cannot be cut in principle in Naka Public Works Office.

About road self-financing construction (application for Article 24 of the Road Law)
What is road self-financing construction?
When a person other than the road manager performs construction or maintenance on the road, it must be approved and perform the construction.
Since the cost required for this construction, etc. must be borne by the approved person, it is commonly called self-financing construction.
The application and consultation desk in Naka Ward is Naka Public Works Office.
Application details for main road self-financing construction
・Deduction of sidewalks, gutters, curbs, etc. for vehicle entry
・Relocation or removal of car stops and tree-planting basins for vehicle entry
・Relocation of curved mirrors, street trees, etc. (Please consult NTT for telegraph poles and Tokyo Electric Power Company for telephone poles)
・Devaluation for location designated road installation
・Repair and restoration of pavement damaged by construction work
・Road maintenance associated with development and residential land development
・In addition, when changing the form of road structures (guardrails, crossing prevention fences, etc.) and road facilities
Flow of procedures for applying for self-financing construction
※If there is no person in charge of self-financing construction due to site surveys, etc., you may be asked to come back again, so please make a reservation before visiting.

※From the submission of the application form to the issuance of the approval form, the standard processing period is 30 days, so please consult as soon as possible.
