Naka Ward Multicultural Symbiosis Promotion Action Plan

　Naka Ward, the opening of the port, has many foreign residents and accounts for more than 10% of the population of the ward. To this end, Naka Ward formulated the Naka Ward Multicultural Symbiosis Promotion Action Plan in 2017 to promote multicultural coexistence with peace of mind, regardless of nationality or roots.
　Based on the results of the first action plan, changes in issues and social conditions, and the results of public opinion solicitation, we formulated the "Second Action Plan" in March 2021 with a planning period from 2021 to 2025.
　In the future, based on the action plan, we will cooperate and collaborate with citizens and support groups to promote multicultural town development.

　In order to provide appropriate administrative services to foreign residents of different languages, cultures, and customs, Naka Ward Office has implemented various initiatives such as disseminating information in multiple languages and dealing with counters.
　The Naka Ward Multicultural Symbiosis Promotion Action Plan (established in June 2017) is based on the "Yokohama Multicultural Community Development Guidelines" (established in March 2017), based on the "Yokohama City Multicultural Community Development Guidelines" (established in MarchNaka Ward).
　Naka Ward has formulated a concrete action plan based on the three pillars of "multicultural barrier-free," "respect," and "social participation."
