Last Updated July 1, 2020

■Guide to start baby food

Estimated age is around 5 to 6 months after birth, but let's check your child's condition.
●I can turn over with my neck and turn over
●If you support me, you can sit down
●Show an interest in food
●Even if you put a spoon or the like in your mouth, it is less likely to push it out with your tongue.

This is a sign to start baby food if you see it.
Let's take a look at when your child is in good health.

■Precautions for hygiene

●Be sure to wash your hands before cooking.
●Wash ingredients such as vegetables, kitchen knives, and cooking utensils such as cutting boards cleanly.
●Let's heat the ingredients well.
●Let's reheat the frozen food ingredients.
●Never give "honey" until the child is over one year old to prevent baby/infant botulism.
(It does not affect breast milk, so mothers can eat it.)

●Early weaning (around 5 to 6 months) "gokkun period"

It is time to practice swallowing smooth grind ingredients and closing the lips and swallow them as "gokkun".
Let's decide the number of meals once a day during the day.
For more information, please refer to the following link.

●Midterm weaning (around 7 to 8 months) "Mogumog period"

You will be able to crush the ingredients with your tongue and upper jaw and eat it as "mogumogu".
We change the form from what you are used to eating.
In addition to the previous meal, meals will be served twice a day.
For more information, please refer to the following link.

●Late weaning (9 to 11 months) "Kamikami period"
