At the regular meeting of the African Diplomatic Corps in Tokyo, I gave a greeting as the mayor of the host city of the 9th Tokyo International Conference on African Development (TICAD 9) in August next year.
Ambassadors of African countries introduced the bonds between Yokohama and Africa, which have been deepened through next-generation exchanges and technical cooperation on African urban issues, and publicized that the GREEN x EXPO 2027 will be held as a showcase for a sustainable and green society.
We will continue to make every effort to prepare for TICAD9 and GREEN x EXPO 2027.
