- Currently, Tokyo Gas Co., Ltd., which was selected by the public recruitment of businesses, is implementing a PPA project (*) to introduce solar power generation facilities and storage batteries for 65 elementary and junior high schools in the city. At Nakagawanishi Elementary School in Tsuzuki Ward , one of the schools, environmental education was conducted using the equipment installed to observe the situation and exchange opinions with elementary school student residents. I was surprised at your high interest in global warming and felt very reliable. Going forward, Yokohama City will take the initiative in promoting various initiatives toward decarbonization by 2050.
※ The PPA (Power Purchase Agreement) is a power purchase agreement.
A contract in which a facility installation company (PPA company) installs a solar power generation facility at the facility, and the facility side purchases electricity generated by the equipment. Since the facility does not own the equipment, renewable energy electricity can be used without the initial cost burden or maintenance of the equipment.
