- On behalf of the Designated City Mayors' Association, we made an "emergency request for the Designated City Mayors' Association regarding the response to COVID-19 infection (reducing the burden on health center operations)" to the Minister of Health, Labor and Welfare Shima Muradai. In light of the tight health center operations due to the spread of the Omicron strain, we call on active epidemiological surveys and medical treatment support should be focused on those who are at high risk of illness.
According to the Minister of Health, Labor and Welfare Shimamura, "We recognize the burden on local governments." We will consider it in the future. "
