Kohoku Ward symbol
Last Updated March 15, 2024
The Kohoku Ward symbol was established in May 1988 to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the Kohoku ward system.
This mark uses the word "north" in Kohoku, and expresses the coordination and development of two birds for the future.
In the enactment, the selection committee consisting of representatives of the inhabitants of a ward decided from about 800 entries submitted from all over Yokohama City by general open call for participants based on the results of voting by inhabitants of a ward.
The color of the symbol mark (main color) is green (green) that emphasizes the hearts and youthfulness of the inhabitants who love nature, worthy of the Kohoku Ward that continues to develop into the future.
