What is a food drive?
This is an activity that brings unused food that cannot be used by each household and collects them together to food bank organizations and local welfare facilities and organizations. About 20,000 tons of untouched foods are discarded annually in the city. This is equivalent to 10,000 garbage trucks.
Food drives provide food support and reduce food loss. Food collected in the ward is delivered to those who need it through the Kohoku Ward Japan National Council of Social Welfare. Thank you for your cooperation in providing food products.

Flow of Food Provision
Food provided by your household to the Kohoku Ward Office and Resources and Waste Recycling Bureau Kohoku Office will be delivered to the support destination through the Kohoku Ward Japan National Council of Social Welfare.

Goods can be rented to those who are considering conducting a food drive.
