Kanazawa unraveled from assets

Last Updated November 6, 2020

Kanazawa has many temples and shrines, temples, historical sites, and cultural properties that have gone through a long history.
I would like to introduce some of them.

List of historical assets of Kanazawa Ward

Kanazawa as seen from the Edo Famous Places

Kanazawa Katsukei Exhibition (Edo Famous Places in Kanagawa Prefectural Kanazawa Bunko)

Compare the time and the present from the "Edo Famous Zoukai", which depicts the scenery of the Edo period and the lifestyles of people.

Shomei-ji Temple and Kanazawabunko

Shomei-ji Temple (photographed by Junichi Kataoka)

Shomei-ji Temple, a nationally designated historic site, and Kanazawabunko, the Middle Ages History Museum, adjacent to Shomei-ji Temple.
I will follow the history of the establishment and the present.

Yotsuishi, Nanai, and Yanagi in Kanazawa

Fukuishi (the entrance to the approach to Biwajima Shrine)

Yotsuishi, Nanai, and Yanagi that are handed down to Kanazawa.
Some have already disappeared, but there are many things that can be remembered at that time.

Kanazawa as seen from cultural properties

Intangible Folk Cultural Property designated by Yokohama City: Gion Boat
(Tomioka Hachimangu Shrine)

Kanazawa Ward boasts one of the best cultural properties in Yokohama. Many of them are located at Shomei-ji Temple and Kanazawabunko Prefectural.
I would like to introduce some of them.
A list of cultural properties in Kanazawa Ward (Yokohama City) can be found below.
