Last Updated November 6, 2020
Nitta refers to opening up forests, filling ponds and seas, and making new fields and fields.
Mud turtle Nitta stands up the sea that was intricate from Hiragata Bay to a part of the mud turtle and Kamariya town during the Edo period.
About 350 years ago, Nagashima Mudgame (Nagashima Iki) built up the land of Kanazawa and created Nitta and Shiota in hopes of improving the lives of the villagers. After that, it was washed away many times due to heavy rains and floods, but the descendants worked on development for about 200 years in their 9th generation and completed it.
Himekojima Suimon, located near the Kanazawa Library, was created to prevent seawater from coming up to Nitta.
