In response to various social issues such as declining birthrate and aging population and global warming, we will challenge the realization of a sustainable and vibrant city.
At Kanazawa Ward, we are working together with local communities, companies and universities to create attractive towns where everyone can feel connected and continue to live safely and with peace of mind.
In December 2011, Yokohama City was selected by the government as an "environmental future city" and is promoting various initiatives.
In June 2018, Yokohama City was selected as a "SDGs Future City".

Introducing various initiatives in Kanazawa Ward!

Yokohama City is working together with local communities, companies and universities to promote energy conservation and regional revitalization measures, with the aim of solving social issues such as global warming, declining birthrate and aging population.　In the Kanazawa Ward area, we have implemented global warming countermeasures such as the Yokohama Green Valley Initiative. In addition, we have concluded agreements with eight parties, including railway operators, companies, universities, and commerce and industry to cooperate to implement regional revitalization measures in Kanazawa Ward, a declining birthrate and aging population.　With this agreement as an opportunity, we will continue to expand the circle of cooperation and cooperation, pass on rich nature to the next generation, further enliven the town of Kanazawa, and spread its appeal widely both inside and outside.
