About holding of town development workshop
Kanazawa Ward has begun studying future urban development in the heart of Kanazawa Ward, which runs from Kanazawa Bunko Station to Kanazawa Hakkei Station. Therefore, in order to consider future town development, we will first hold a workshop to think about the use of parks and open spaces. The workshop will be held three times in total. Please join us.

About town development workshop
Theme "Let's prepare a plan for executing the proposal ♪"
In the second session, the proposals selected by the participants by voting will be tailored specifically for implementation. Those who could not participate in the first and second sessions can also participate from the third session.
Target person
- Anyone interested in community development in the center of Kanazawa Ward can participate. Those who have not participated in the first and second sessions can also participate.
- In the third session, the “Plan selected in the second session” will be divided into groups and the contents of the plan will be deepened for implementation. It is intended for those who want to participate in the project and execute it on their own in the "Plan selected in the 2nd".

In Mr. Sonoda's lecture, he introduced examples of placemaking that is being undertaken in Toyota City. In addition, at the town development workshop, people who are active in various genres participated and came up with many interesting ideas.

Theme "Let's create a place for everyone using parks and open spaces!"
We welcomed Mr. Satoshi Sonoda and talked about how to use parks and plazas to make the city attractive and its process with examples. .

[Brief History]
Born in Tokorozawa City, Saitama Prefecture in 1984. Completed a master's degree at Kogakuin University in 2009. After working for a commercial planning and design company, completed a doctoral course at the same graduate school in 2015. Ph.D. Current position since 2016. He specializes in urban design and placemaking. Currently, based in Osaka and Tokyo, he is engaged in practice and research using the principles and methods of placemaking throughout the country. He has authored "Place Making-Activity First Urban Design-" (Gakugei Shuppan).
About Part 2 town development workshop

With reference to the lecture in Part 1, a workshop was held to consider how to use parks and plazas in the area from Kanazawa Bunko Station to Kanazawa Hakkei Station, including around the ward office.

At the 2nd workshop, based on the ideas presented in the 1st session, each group made a plan and presented it. After listening to the announcement, we voted for the project that you would like to do.
