1 What is the Kanazawa Ward Social Activities Support Subsidy?

In Kanazawa Ward, subsidies are provided to support the voluntary activities of residents aimed at revitalizing local communities and creating rich communities.

2 What kind of organizations are eligible?

In principle, organizations that meet all of the following requirements

  • At least five members of the organization, and at least half of them live, work, or attend school in Kanazawa Ward.
  • The existence of organizations and representatives must be clear.
  • Being an organization that has not received this subsidy more than three times in the past.

3 What are the target activities?

  • It is a self-reliant and continuous activity that contributes to the creation of a prosperous community by recruiting an unspecified number of inhabitants of the ward in Kanazawa Ward and confirms that there is no difference from the purpose of establishing the organization.
Target business
(1) Business aimed at healthy development of young people
(2) Projects aimed at promoting international exchange
(3) Projects aimed at promoting cultural and artistic activities
(4) Business aimed at promoting environmental conservation (excluding community cleanup activities)
(5) Business for the purpose of child care support
(6) Planning and operation business of lifelong learning courses (in principle, at least three times a year, about two hours at a time)
  • However, the following businesses are excluded.

Not applicable businesses

(1) Projects that receive financial assistance such as subsidies and subsidies during the fiscal year, including affiliated organizations in Yokohama, Kanazawa Ward and Yokohama.

(2) Business aimed at politics, religion, and profit

(3) Business targeting only members of a specific organization, or business in which only those persons can participate.

(4) Business that guides the acquisition of qualifications and licenses, and promotes and solicits specific schools and organizations.

(5) Businesses that may harm the public interest

(6) Other businesses deemed inappropriate by Director General


4 What is the content of the subsidy?

  • The subsidy amount is limited to 4/5 of the subsidized expenses and 300,000 yen (150,000 yen for lifelong learning courses).
  • In units of 1,000 yen, less than 1,000 yen is rounded down. The support rate for the second and subsequent times will be 1/2.

5 What are the target expenses?

  • Subsidies can not be used for anything related to subsidized projects.
    Operating expenses such as the daily activity expenses of the group are not subsidized expenses.
Subject expenses

(1) Rewards (excluding those for which participation in the project is free)

(2) Travel expenses

(3) Consumables (used only for business purposes)

(4) Food expenses (instructor's tea fee, etc.)

(5) Printing and bookbinding costs

(6) Transportation and transportation costs

(7) Consignment costs (Venue construction, material transportation)

(8) Usage fee (Venue fee, etc.)

6 Application Period and Application Method

From Monday, January 6, Reiwa 7 to Friday, January 31  ※Please submit it to Hours.

Date and time: From 14:00 to 15:00 on Friday, January 14, 2025 (planned)
Venue: Meeting Room No. 1 on the 1st floor of Kanazawa Ward Office ※The venue has been changed (the public information Yokohama January issue states that "6th floor No. 2 meeting room" but will be held in "1st floor No. 1 meeting room".
Please fill out the prescribed application form with required items and bring it to the ward office Regional Promotion Division (601 on the 6th floor) by the designated date with required documents.

7 Decision on grant

  • About application business, Director General decides based on opinion of Kanazawa Ward social movement support subsidy Exploratory Committee (composed of outside committee members).
    In addition, as a result of examination, the amount of assistance may be reduced or it may be non-grant.
  • We send grant decision letter of advice or non-grant decision letter to application group by result of examination. Please submit an invoice when you receive the delivery decision notice.

8 When the business is completed

If the subsidized project is completed, please report it within one month with the prescribed documents.

※If the actual subsidized expenses are less than the original budget amount, you will have to return the difference from the subsidized subsidies.
