Last Updated April 24, 2024

What are Kanazawa Ward Health Promotion Members?

Health promotion is like an individual pushing a ball called health and climbing a hill to aim for a "healthy and rich life." However, it is difficult to continue with the power of individuals alone, and if the slope is steep, it cannot be climbed. Kanazawa Ward Health Promotion Officers play a role in supporting an environment where people can easily engage in health and health promotion by pushing their backs.
The health promotion staff is commissioned to the mayor upon the recommendation of Neighborhood Associations Neighborhood Association. As a promoter of health promotion activities in the community and as a partner in the health policies of Yokohama City, we will support the community development, where people can live withlifestyle-related diseases prevention and other health promotion activities in the community.

What kind of activities are you doing?

Basic activities → Promote your own health and work with others

We acquire basic knowledge about health promotion including smoking risk, importance of exercise habits, correct walking method and spread the knowledge to the surroundings, and support health promotion from familiar places.

Basic activities → Support for health promotion of local residents

By holding various courses and events in the community, we will create opportunities for residents to engage in health promotion and create opportunities for activities, and cooperate with the ward Health and Welfare Center to support health promotion monthly events and campaigns.

Development Activities → Creating a climate that promotes health promotion throughout the region

We will create a system to establish health promotion in the community and develop health promotion activities using various methods. In Kanazawa Ward, we use the knowledge we have acquired as health promotion staff to establish health promotion associations in the community and conduct various activities in each district, including training on health exercises and nutrition for caregivers who are raising children based on the philosophy that "Children's health is the health of caregivers."
