About "Kanagawa inhabitant of a ward college for Kids" (free participation, advance application required)
We will hold a workshop for elementary school students on the theme of "decarbonization" at the campus of Kanagawa University!
Why don't you learn "what we can do now for the future" through making key chains using plastic bottle caps and creating a calendar of thinned wood in the workshop where you can feel the warmth of wood?

Date and time From 10:00 to 12:00 on Saturday, August 3, 2024
[Venue] Kanagawa University Minato Mirai Campus 1F Lab
[Target] 1st to 6th grade elementary school students living and studying in Kanagawa Ward and their parents
[Capacity] 8 groups 16 people (many lottery)
Experience the "upcycle" that is indispensable for a sustainable society using digital machine tools!
Day2 Making thinned wood de tabletop calendar
Date and time Sunday, August 18, 2024 from 10:00 to 12:00
[Venue] Kanagawa University Yokohama Campus Building No. 31 Architecture Manufacturing Studio
[Target] 4th to 6th grade elementary school students living and studying in Kanagawa Ward and their parents
[Capacity] 8 groups 16 people (many lottery)
Let's learn the connection between wood utilization and decarbonization while feeling the smell and warmth of wood in the workshop!

How to apply
Please fill in the required items from the electronic application and notification system.

※You can apply only for one course or both.
Application period
From Tuesday, June 25, 2024 to Wednesday, July 17
※The capacity is 8 groups and 16 people each day. All applicants will be notified of the lottery results by e-mail in late July.
(For winners, information on the day will be included in the e-mail.)
Notes
・Please apply for "one child and one guardian" per set.
・Please note that only participants are not allowed to enter the venue.
・There is no parking bicycle parking lots.
Request for cooperation in public relations
On the day of Kanagawa inhabitant of a ward college, the staff will shoot for publicity.
In addition, after the event, participants will report on how decarbonization initiatives are being incorporated into their daily lives, and will be published as an article along with the report held on the day of the event.
After participating in the event, please indicate whether or not you can cooperate at the time of application regarding coverage of the activities at home and posting photos.
