Health promotion personnel are commissioned by The Mayor of Yokohama at the recommendation of Neighborhood Association Neighborhood Associations.
As a promoter of local health promotion and as a partner in administrative health measures, we carry out health promotion activities such as lifestyle-related diseases prevention in the community.
It is expected to carry out activities to support the health of local people as a promoter in the area of "Third Health Yokohama 21", which is a guideline for health promotion measures in Yokohama City.

Through various local activities (health check, walking, locomo / gymnastics classroom, sukukamekko business, child care support activities, disaster drill, local festivals, contact activities, etc.), implement the ward welfare and health plan while cooperating with related organizations We work on promotion of local health promotion activity toward realization.

1 Develop awareness-raising activities for health promotion

The Kanagawa Residents' Festival was held at Sorimachi Park on Sunday, October 13, 2024, and at the Health Activity Promotion Member's booth, a handful force measurement, result explanation, and questionnaire were conducted.
As many as 566 people participated in the booth and it was a great success, and there were voices such as "It was a good opportunity to try grip strength for the first time in a long time", "I haven't exercised recently", etc. It was an opportunity to promote health promotion happily while reviewing.
According to the questionnaire, "Do you have a medical checkup?" "Do you know the Health Activity Promotion Committee (hereinafter referred to as Hokatsu)?" About 70% of those who are undergoing medical examinations, and about 30% of those who know the names and activities of Hokatsu and know the names. Going forward, we will continue to promote awareness-raising to raise awareness of Hokatsu.

Kanagawa Ward holds training sessions several times a year for health promotion staff.
In fiscal 2024, Dr. Shintaro Chiba (Director of the Ota Sleep Science Center) gave a lecture on Tuesday, December 10 at Kanagawa public hall on the theme of "Good sleep for a healthy life."
He gave a lecture in easy-to-understand words, such as sleep time and sleep habits for each person, and it was necessary to take a sleep that suits him.
Japanese people talked about the fact that sleep time is particularly short and that lack of sleep affects not only the body but also the economy. I want to be careful about the temperature of the bath. " Hokatsu himself reviews his sleep and spreads good sleep around him.
