Kanagawa Ward Contact Activities

Kanagawa Ward is led by the Japan National Council of Social Welfare, and the local community engages in contact with local residents.

In order for everyone to live in an area where they are accustomed to living with peace of mind, community development is important to interact and support each other in the community.
Contact activities are one of the initiatives for this purpose.

The basics of contact activities are to carry out visits and watch over to those who are worried in the area.

• Elderly living alone (in this activity, elderly people are generally over 65 years old.)
• Households with only elderly people
• Households with only elderly people during the day
• Elderly people who seem to have dementia
• Elderly people who think need nursing care
• In addition, those who need to be watched in the area

※What kind of person to watch over is decided in the region.
