Sports Promotion Committee

The Sports Promotion Committee is a member (part-time member) recommended by the Neighborhood Association Neighborhood Associations and commissioned by the The Mayor of Yokohama based on the Basic Sports Law and the rules of the Yokohama Sports Promotion Committee.
The committee members set up bases for activities in the district, and in solidarity with the local residents, such as planning, drafting, and implementing sports and recreation promotion projects rooted in the community in solidarity with local residents. We are developing businesses that meet the actual situation.

※With the enactment of the Basic Sports Law in August 2011, the name of the Physical Education Guidance Committee was changed to the Sports Promotion Committee.

It is an organization organized by the Sports Promotion Committee of Isogo Ward.
The committee members are recommended by local communities such as Neighborhood Association and Neighborhood Associations, and currently 133 sports promotion committee members are active in nine districts of the ward (as of December 1, 2023).

We are engaged in various sports events such as the Yokohama Marathon and World Triathlon Series Yokohama Games.
