Selecting the highest vote by the selection committee with reference to the inhabitants' vote
The ward's symbol mark establishment project started in June of last year, and the work was decided by the final selection committee on December 16 last year. As reported in the report, from August to September, 406 works were sent to the ward, and eight of them were sent to the ward, and eight of them were voted for residents. As a result, the work of Koichi Nishimura (45), which collected 534 votes out of 2,847 votes, ranked first, and the selection committee (consisting of representatives of various resident organizations, ward staff, etc.) also said, "The design was appropriate for the image of the ward."
"Asahi (Asahi) is placed in the upper middle of the center, and the sprouts that grow quickly in response to the light, and looks at the "Y" character of YOKOHAMA. In principle, the colors will be based on "green" and the white background and stains are also used.
Nishimura, a designer, works at Matsushita Telecommunications Industry in Midori Ward. He also studied design-related matters when he was a student, so he can be said to be a professional in design. I moved to Asahi Ward in August last year from Komae, Tokyo to Wakabadai 2-chome. When the symbol mark was created, it was said that "Asahi Ward was solely dependent on the name of Asahi and the impression that it had a lot of greenery."
In the future, the ward will seize various opportunities and promote this symbol mark. First of all, on February 20, a recital will be held on the seat of the famous song appreciation party (admission tickets have been distributed). The flag of the symbol mark will be displayed at events such as the Asahi Ward People's Sports Festival and the Asahi Ward Cultural Festival. Please use this mark whenever you have any chance.
