In order to create an environment that supports the growth of young people, youth instructors play a role in promoting activities for the healthy development of young people in cooperation with related parties and related organizations and organizations. I will bear.
Specifically, the Asahi Ward Youth Instructor Liaison Council plays a leading role in holding various events and patrols to watch local communities.

We receive recommendation from Neighborhood Association, Neighborhood Associations, etc., and the mayor commissions. At the same time, it will be commissioned by the governor of Kanagawa Prefecture.
Currently, 213 instructors are commissioned and active in Asahi Ward. (As of May 1, 2024)

Experience activities such as nature experiences and social experiences foster youth's “self-affirmation”, “sociality” and “independence”.
The Asahi Ward Youth Instructor Liaison Council engages in projects that take advantage of the attractions of Asahi Ward, such as the Children's Sketching Tournament at Yokohama Zoo ZOORASIA and the Parent-Child Outdoor Nature Experience Activities.

In order to protect young people from delinquency, wandering late at night, harmful books, etc., we conduct monitoring activities such as patrols and greeting campaigns and on-site inspections of harmful books in each region. We cooperate with the implementation of a city-wide unified action patrol every summer and a survey on the social environment conducted every year throughout the prefecture.

We conduct training on themes such as various issues faced by young people and how to approach them, and all employees, regardless of whether they are newly appointed or mid-career. In the first year of the term of office, we provide skill training for newly appointed instructors to work as youth instructors, and in the second year of term, we provide training for all instructors on the issues facing youth.
In addition, during the national youth development-related emphasis month (National Enhancement Month for Youth Delinquency and Damage Prevention (July), Children and Youth Development Support Enhancement Month (November)), awareness-raising activities aimed at improving the social environment.
