I met Yoto Hirata, a 6th year student at Shimonagaya Elementary School, who was awarded the 1st place and the audience prize "Yokohama Citizen Award" in the piano section elementary school section of the "77th All Japan Student Music Competition National Convention", I told you the celebration directly. This contest is the highest student contest in Japan, which has produced many stars representing the classical music world in Japan, and Yokohama has been the venue for the national competition since 2007.
At the meeting, I was impressed by Yoto's desire to express the composer's feelings and give peace to the listeners, and I was very proud. We look forward to the future of Yoto's future success and support it.
