We exchanged views with Yenz Meyer, port manager of Hamburg Port, who is a sister port of Yokohama Port and leads the European region in the environmental field and is promoting advanced initiatives, on decarbonization of ports.
It was confirmed that the two ports will continue to cooperate, including sharing information on the formation of hydrogen and other import and supply bases in Europe.
We also visited HafenCity, one of the largest waterfront areas in Europe. We will make use of efforts to improve the brand image of the city by preserving and utilizing historic buildings in the formation of attractive urban spaces in the city.
