Last Updated January 16, 2023
I attended "Yokohama Fire Fighting First Ceremony 2023" and gave a greeting.
At the beginning of the year, the Yokohama Fire Fighting First Ceremony is a large-scale event of the New Year, which shows the firefighting power of Yokohama and the disaster response power in cooperation with related organizations so that citizens can feel safe and secure.
The event was held in Akarengasoko, where the scenery of Minato Mirai is beautiful, for the first time in three years, but as many as 75,000 people came to the event, traditional performances by the members of the Yokohama Old Fire Preservation Society, comprehensive training by special advanced rescue squads and rescue squads, and powerful simultaneous water discharge.
This year, we will continue to make every effort to disaster prevention and reduce disaster damage, with the safety and security of our citizens first priority.
