In Yokohama City, as part of the GIGA School, we are promoting the "Yokohama Anywhere Study" where children who cannot attend school due to various reasons engage in online learning. At Izumigaoka Junior High School, which I visited this time, I was able to observe how the children were using ICT to work on learning with friends.
This year, as a support measure for online classes, we have set up a supplementary budget of 800 million yen in order to maintain cameras, microphones, projectors, etc. at all municipal elementary and junior high schools. We will continue to work on nurturing the next generation who will lead the future of Yokohama.
