In order to decarbonize the coastal area of Yokohama City, a council was held in which businesses in the coastal area, academic experts, and government agencies share information.
Decarbonization in coastal areas, where approximately 40% of greenhouse gases are emitted, is an important key to advance decarbonization of Yokohama City as a whole.
With the participation of coastal companies that are eager to decarbonization, we will strategically promote decarbonization and aim to become a "carbon neutral port" unique to Yokohama.
From Yokohama Port, I would like to strongly lead the decarbonization of Japan.
