On April 26, Minato Mirai 21 district was selected as a "decarbonized pre-decarbonized area."
The Minato Mirai 21 district is an area where more than 120,000 people work and more than 60 million people visit each year during the COVID-19 pandemic, making it a major energy consumption area.
Based on strong partnerships with Yokohama Minato Mirai 21 and 32 facilities in the area, we will accelerate various initiatives such as energy management in the region and promotion of the introduction of renewable energy from the Tohoku region, etc., and build a decarbonized model in large cities.
Taking advantage of this selection, we will continue to work with the national government, industry, and citizens as a "SDGs Future City" to decarbonize "Zero Carbon Yokohama" by 2050.
