Last Updated January 14, 2022

Every day, about 650,000 passengers get on and off at the station.
While maintaining the safety of each individual
It is the cooperation of station clerks and drivers to deliver to the destination comfortably.
At the forefront of the platform, at 80 km/h
The job that works for the customer is rewarding for the responsibility.
No matter how much railways evolve, it is still human power to move trains and stations.

What is the Subway Transport Staff?

As station clerks at each station on the Yokohama Municipal Subway Blue Line and Green Line, subway transportation staff is responsible for station guidance, home monitoring, and sales management.
The customer is the first staff member to interact with and plays an important role in the "face of the subway".
After working for a certain period of time, there is also a way to become a subway driver.

①Station guidance services that require knowledge

As a concierge at the station, you can provide transfer information, peripheral information, lost items, and announcements at the counter and ticket gates.
What is required is not only a wealth of knowledge, but also customer service skills that can be friendly. Yokohama has many foreign customers, and you can also use your language skills.

②Home arrangement to protect passenger safety

At the forefront of the platform, we pay attention to customer movements and track safety, and support safe operation without accidents and delays.
Concentration and teamwork are required to determine how to get on without trouble during a rush.

③Administrative operations such as sales management

The collection of proceeds from automatic ticket vending machines and the management of cashiers of various tickets are also important daily tasks.
We will work to ensure that there is no error of 1 yen because it is an important fare received from customers.

④Assistance for physically handicapped customers

Some of the passengers using the subway are physically handicapped.
It is also the duty of the station clerk to assist you so that you can get on and off smoothly.

⑤Touring and beautification activities at station facilities

In addition to visiting the station building to check the equipment, check for suspicious objects and garbage.
This is an essential task for safe and comfortable use of the station.
