Staff interview bus crew

Last Updated January 14, 2022

Yokohama Municipal Bus Crew T.O.
Joined the office in 2015 after working as a salesman for a private company.
He is currently active as a bus crew at the Sengencho Sales Office. My hobby is mountain climbing and conquering mountains in Kanagawa Prefecture.

A family who pushed my back as a bus crew.

My grandmother's back of that day is still burning in my eyes. It was when I became a bus crew.
My grandmother was taken by my family and got on the bus I drive. I immediately noticed through the mirror, but my grandmother didn't have such a gesture.
When I got off, my family finally told my grandmother, "The driver is your grandson," and my grandmother said, "I didn't know at all. It was like a real driver."
I was a little lonely that I didn't notice it, but the joy of having the closest people see it as a professional was greater.
Even now, the figure of my bending grandmother is still supporting me, "Let's do our best."

One-on-one empty training is a great confidence.

Originally, I was interested in buses because I had the opportunity to drive a truck in sales and became a crew member.

At first, I witnessed a large body and was worried, "Is it really possible to drive myself?" However, the instructor's senior instructor who taught me the empty training always gave me advice after seeing my anxiety and impatient personality. For example, "When you are impatient due to delay, guide the car slowly," and "double check the surroundings and passengers twice as much as usual." Each of these advices is a property, and I always watch it every morning by putting it on a locker at a sales office or waiting for a smartphone.
I was glad that my driving skills improved a little, and I was happy when the other day, a regular elderly person who was used at the hospital said, "I was the best driving so far."

Even on holidays, take various buses to steal the driving skills of the excellent person on holidays, and dare to sit at the last seat with gravity, "How do you prevent shaking during curves" "This person's guidance is good" I'm doing it.

The mission of the crew is felt only in an emergency.

Above all, it is an emergency, and last year's record heavy snowfall day is impressive.
When we arrived at the bus stop more than 30 minutes later while snow hit the windshield and the view was narrowing, a customer with an umbrella was waiting in line. "I thought it was suspended. Thank you for running, "said with a relief expression.
At that time, I realized again, "My work has helped the citizens." Even when a train stops due to an earthquake or disaster, buses are able to move closely with the lives of citizens, so we will continue to fulfill our mission with driving skills and compassion.

Grandma, I'm working hard every day. When an elderly person gets on board, she wears a grandmother with a disability and legs and touch them. I will try to become a crew trusted by everyone someday, so please take a look.

A word from Mr. T.O.

You can also visit tourist areas such as Yamashita Park and Sakuragicho, so it is a very attractive job for those who like driving.
Private service for school events such as excursions is also fun.
