I'm a foreign resident, but I'm moving. What kind of procedure is required?

On July 9, 2012, the the Law of the Basic Resident Registers was revised to allow foreign residents to follow the same procedures as Japanese.
For the procedure, you will need to show your residence card or special permanent resident certificate, passport, and notification card.
If you wish to move out of the city, you will need to submit a transfer notification.
