• Questionnaire form

The first tournament was held in 1986 by the voice of inhabitants of a ward who had an attachment to the Tsunashima Ekiden in the Showa 20s.

From the course running along the Tsurumi River to the Shin-Yokohama Park and the Nissan Stadium Circular Course has continued.

It has increased from 67 teams (453 people) in the first tournament.
Although the number of participants decreased due to the division of Tsuzuki Ward   in 1994, the size of the tournament has increased in recent years.
The 34th tournament, which was held to commemorate the 80th anniversary of the Kohoku district system, attracted 233 teams (1,368 people) and has become a major sporting event in Kohoku Ward.

The tournament will be organized by the Kohoku Ward Athletics Association and the Kohoku Ward Sports Promotion Committee Liaison Council Ekiden Committee.
However, since 2003, local group officials with both pillars have set up the Kohoku Ekiden Tournament Executive Committee.
This tournament, where residents can interact through Ekiden and raise their hometown awareness, is popular with residents as a winter feature of "Energetic Kohoku Ward".
