Kohoku Ward is aging and the number of people with dementia is increasing.
In ward, police and administration, related organizations cooperate and work on the making of watching network in cooperation with local everybody so that we can live with peace of mind even if we have dementia.
In March 2010, we created a brochure “Frog Net” to support elderly people with dementia and their families. This brochure introduces “frog sheets” and “name stickers” that you would like to use in preparation for walking alone with dementia, and what local people would like to ask for.
Requests to local residents
Walking alone, such as elderly people with dementia, can be life-threatening if they are not found as soon as possible.
If you see an elderly person concerned, talk gently and slowly first.
And please contact the name seal or police 110.
Please contact the fire department (emergency) 119 if it is life-threatening.

Requests to family members
Walking alone, such as elderly people with dementia, starts suddenly one day.
Always make the following preparations so that you do not panic when you are gone.
(1)Fill out the “Sheet for Elderly People with Dementia, etc.” (If you are away, bring it to "Koban" (police box) or police department, you will be very useful for quick search.)
(2)Attach a “name sticker” with your contact information on the clothes you wear.
Brochures and "frog sheets for elderly people with dementia" are distributed at the following locations.
