This is a fund for lending living funds to elderly people who own land and buildings that will continue to live in the future.
The “real estate-backed living fund” is a loan system in which elderly people who have a home but have low cash income borrow living expenses using the residential real estate as collateral to support the independence of households. This is to provide a monthly loan with the residential real estate of the elderly as collateral and dispose and repay the real estate at the time of death of the elderly or the end of the loan period.

Households that meet all of the following:

• The applicant must be living in real estate owned by the borrower (including sharing with the spouse of living together).
• There is no right to use leases or collateral such as mortgages in real estate.
• There must be no spouse or a cohabitant other than their parents.
• In principle, the household must be at least 65 years old.
• The borrowed household must be a municipal tax-exempt household or a low-income household with a per capita rate taxable household.

※Not applicable if a child household's house is built on the same site, or if it is a two-family house.
