We hold "dog tree planting ceremony" commemorating the 80th anniversary of the Kohoku Ward system.

To commemorate the 80th anniversary of the Kohoku district, we will plant saplings of the dogwood tree, Kohoku Ward tree, next to Shidmore cherry tree in Okurayama Park. These seedlings are made by grafting from a 100-year dogwood (*) branch provided by Tokyo Metropolitan Horticultural High School.
After the tree-planting ceremony, there will be a dance performance and a picture-story show on dogwood.
（※） Dogwood was given by the United States as a return for cherry blossoms given from Tokyo to Washington in 1912. The cherry blossoms given to Washington returned to Japan in 1991 and are called "Sidmore Cherry Blossom".

※If the event is canceled due to stormy weather, etc., we will inform you on this page in the morning of the day.

Okurayama Park (in front of the Okurayama Memorial Hall)
※If it rains on the day or the construction date is rainy, etc., it will be held at the Okurayama Memorial Hall.
