We invited Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary and Plenipotentiary of the Kingdom of Thailand to Japan, to Mayor's Residence to exchange views on economic exchange with Thailand and to further promote intercity cooperation with Bangkok.
Yokohama signed a memorandum of understanding with the capital of Bangkok in 2013, and last year, at the 12th Asian Smart City Conference, an international conference organized by Yokohama City, together with Governor Bangkok, announced a joint declaration to promote decarbonization in Asia. On June 21 this week, we will hold a workshop on decarbonization business in collaboration with the capital of Bangkok, and I will attend.
We will continue to work with the Kingdom of Thailand and the capital of Bangkok to work on decarbonization in Asian cities.
