We held round-table conference by the mayors of Yokohama-shi, Kawasaki-shi, Sagamihara-shi, city council vice-chairperson in Yokohama-shi government office and exchanged opinions about new big city system "special city". This is the first time that the mayors and vice-chairs of 3 ordinance-designated cities meet together and exchange opinions on a special city.
The mayors of the three cities reported on the status of "approach of the city so far" and "approach of the Designated City Mayor's Association", and the chairperson shared the approach situation of each municipal assembly.
We will continue to work hard for the early legalization of the special city while valuing the connection between the three cities.
