A kick-off event for the “Autumn Sea Garbage Zero Week 2022”, a nationwide simultaneous cleaning campaign conducted by the Nippon Foundation and the Ministry of the Environment, was held in Yokohama, and we gave a greeting at the opening ceremony.
After the ceremony, we participated in cleaning activities to reduce marine waste, which is becoming more serious worldwide, and worked together with the participants to pick up garbage while having fun.
Each of us, who live in Japan surrounded by the sea, wants to build on what we can do now and expand the circle of action in order to pass on the beautiful sea to the future.
