Yokohama City Council Basic Regulations

In recent years, the shift to a decentralized society in which the region is decided by the region, and even in Motoichi, Japan's largest city, many municipal issues, including issues unique to large cities, are becoming more complex and sophisticated. As such, Yokohama City Council is increasingly required to play a role in monitoring, evaluation, and policy planning.
In order to clarify the roles that City Counsil and members of the city council should play and share it with the citizens, the City Counsil Steering Committee has established the Yokohama City Council Basic Regulations after two years of investigation and examination in Special Investigation Committee on Establishing Yokohama City Council Fundamental Ordinance,Yokohama City Council has established the Yokohama City Council Basic Ordinance. (Voted on February 21, 2014; Effective April 1, 2014)
