What is PASMO?
PASMO is a handy rechargeable smart card that you can use to pay rail and bus fares and do shopping without having to fiddle with small change.

PASMO is a transport smart card that can be used on almost all trains and buses in the metropolitan area.
◆Touch in at the ticket gate and go!
Both PASMO and Suica cards can be used by touching them against the reader at compatible ticket gates and fare machines without having to remove them from their case or wallet.
◆Can also be used for shopping!
PASMO and Suica cards can be used as e-money at participating stores.
Using PASMO on city transport
Usable on all Yokohama subway lines (Blue/Green).
City busesUsable on all services.
You can also put a city bus pass on your PASMO card along with your rail pass.
PASMO passes for city transport in Yokohama are available from the Center-Minami, Shin-Yokohama, Yokohama, and Kamiooka customer service centers (12:00-20:00 weekdays, 10:00-18:00 weekends/holidays), and also automatic ticket machines at all 40 Yokohama subway stations between the time of the first service and 23:00 (07:00-22:00 at station offices).
Uses and types of PASMO
Choose the PASMO to suit your needs.
Add credit to your PASMO card to make it easier to catch and change trains and buses in the metropolitan area.
You can put both subway and bus passes on your PASMO card. If you go beyond the area covered by your pass, the excess fare will be automatically deducted from your card.

*You will need to bring official proof of the name and date of birth that you registered in order to have your card reissued.
Child PASMO
Child PASMO cards must have a named bearer. Blank child PASMO cards are not available. A child PASMO card allows the named bearer to travel for the child fare.
Confirmation of identity is required at the time of purchase. If you already have a child PASMO or Suica card, you cannot buy a second child PASMO card.
The credit on a child PASMO card cannot be used from the first April 1 after the holder's twelfth birthday. Please go to your nearest travel pass counter (excluding subway ticket machines) to have it changed to an adult PASMO card. Any non-expired passes on the card will be refunded based on the remaining period.
Important notes
Named PASMO cards and PASMO passes cannot be used by anyone except the named user. It may also not be possible to issue replacements or refunds unless you have registered your personal information correctly.
Please note that even if a pass was purchased at the discounted rate for persons with physical or mental disabilities, fare discounts do not apply when using credit on a PASMO card.
