Welcome to Totsuka Ward

Last update date December 25, 2023

Welcome

In 1939, seven towns and villages in Kamakura-gun were incorporated into Yokohama, and Totsuka Ward was born. Since 1955, the population has increased rapidly due to the development of road networks, extension of railways, the advancement of factories, and residential land development. After that, Seya Ward, Sakae Ward and Izumi Ward were divided into 35.7 km2, making it the largest city in Yokohama. Totsuka Ward has a history represented by the former Tokaido and Tozuka-juku, and is blessed with abundant water and greenery.
