Regular meetings and extraordinary meetings

Last Updated August 9, 2018

City Counsil has regular meetings that are convened regularly and extraordinary meetings that are convened only when necessary.
The City Counsil stipulates that regular meetings are held four times a year, and are usually convened in February, May, September and November. It is the mayor's authority to convene both regular and extraordinary meetings, but if the chairperson requests a convocation after a resolution of the City Counsil Steering Committee, or if there is a request from more than a quarter of the members. , The mayor must convene an extraordinary session. In addition, if the Chair does not convene a request for the extraordinary session of the chair, etc., the chair may convene an extraordinary session.
At regular meetings and extraordinary sessions, the session is set at the beginning, and in principle, plenary sessions and committees are held during that session, and parliamentary activities such as deliberation and examination of bills are performed.
