Implementing food drives

Sakae Ward Office and Resources and Waste Recycling Bureau Sakae Office

Last update date May 17, 2021

Are there any foods that you got from your middle age but do not eat, or foods that you bought a lot but cannot eat?
If left as it is, the expiration date will pass and you will throw it away without being eaten.
Yokohama City recommends food drives for foods that are originally eaten but discarded, so-called "food loss."
Food drive is an activity that uses food that is not eaten at home to support people who need food, such as single-parent homes, children's cafeterias, and other welfare facilities.
The food you receive will be used for welfare through the Sakae Ward Japan National Council of Social Welfare and food bank organizations.
We look forward to your cooperation with "Mottainai" as "Thank you".

On April 1, 2021, we started regular reception at the Sakae Ward Office and Resources and Waste Recycling Bureau Sakae Office.
