Concluded a friendly exchange agreement (November 2015)

 On Saturday, November 7, 2015, at the Sakae Ward People's Festival venue, we will continue and expand the friendly exchange relationship between residents of Sakae Ward, Nanbu-cho and both local governments, and aim for mutual development. For the purpose, we have concluded a friendship exchange agreement. We will promote mutual exchanges centered on farmers' stays, youth exchanges, and product exhibitions of rich agricultural products that capture opportunities such as various events.

Outline of Nanbu-cho

 Nanbu-cho is located in the southeast of Aomori Prefecture and is adjacent to the western part of Hachinohe City. In the coastal area of the Mabechi River, which flows through the center of the town, fertile plains spread in a belt shape, where rice and vegetables are grown. In the southwest, Mt. Nakui at an altitude of 615m rises, and fruit tree cultivation is thriving in the hills.

The charm of Nanbu-cho

 In the southern part of Aomori Prefecture, there are various kinds of fruits grown by the garden owner, including apples specially produced in Aomori Prefecture, peaches, pears, grapes, and so on. One of the attractions is that it grows a wide variety of varieties, including apples, Fuji for peaches, Kawanakajima for pears, general recreation (pea), and grapes are Shine Muscat.
 Nanbu-cho has a large difference in temperature between day and night, fruits grow deliciously, surrounded by mountains, and the river flows through the center of the town, is attractive.

Exchange with Nanbu-cho

Seventy-two paintings by children from Sakae Ward and Nanbu-cho were exhibited in a single band, in Nanbu-cho and Sakae Ward (September 2019).

 Children from Sakae Ward and Nanbu-cho held a "Connected Painting Workshop". A total of 72 pictures drawn by a total of 72 children were arranged in a row with a single band as a clue. It was exhibited at Hongo Junior High School Gymnasium at the Nanbu Town Hall "Rakuraku Hall" and the Sakae Ward Min Festival. In December, it was also exhibited at the Lilith Gallery, Sakae Ward Cultural Center.

"Connected picture"

A junior high school student from Nanbu-cho made a special appearance at a theater company in Sakae Ward (June 2019)

Three students from Nagawa Junior High School in Nanbu-cho made a special appearance as a national role in the 23rd performance "Hadaka no King" of the citizen theater company "Theatrical Company Pokapaka".

elementary school student and others from Hongodai Elementary School raised edible chrysanthemums in Nanbu-cho (June to December 2017).

In Hongodai Elementary School 3rd year 2nd class, cultivation learning of edible chrysanthemum "Abomiya" from Nanbu-cho was carried out. Since 30 chrysanthemum seedlings arrived from Nanbu-cho in July, chrysanthemums grew steadily with the support of local people, the chrysanthemums grew steadily thanks to the care of the elementary school student and others, with the support of local people. In December, in the home economics room, we also held a tasting party for edible chrysanthemums, where we ate the edible chrysanthemums grown and harvested in miso soup. Based on this connection between Sakae Ward and Nanbu-cho, a flower of Sakae Ward, a famous product of Nanbu-cho, the edible chrysanthemum, a specialty of Nanbu-cho.

We performed on stage and opened a product exhibition at the Sakae Ward People's Festival (November 2017).

At the 18th Sakae Ward People's Festival held at Hongo Junior High School on Saturday, November 11, 2017, "Kenyoshi Enburi Gumi" in Nanbu-cho appeared on stage, mainly in the southern part of Aomori Prefecture At a traditional winter event, we performed "Enburi", which is also designated as a national important cultural property. In addition, at the product exhibition, Nanbu-cho's specialty “Senbei Juice”, and rice and fruits from Nanbu-cho were sold.


    We opened a store in Aozora Marsh, Hongodai (July 2017).

    We opened a product exhibition at Hongodai Aozora Marche, which was held at Hongodai Station Square on Saturday, July 15, 2017 (Heisei 29). Through tasting of apple juice and introduction of edible chrysanthemum "Abomiya", we promoted the production of Nanbu-cho to Sakae Ward people.
