Town which we founded in the case of Yokohama-shi admission of 1939 from Satomura capital letter Aoto in Tsuzuki county. With administrative section reorganization of October 1, 1969, it is admitted (former) by Kohoku Ward. It is old and says Tsuzuki county Aoto village, and it merges with servant of a Buddhist temple village, Kamoshida village, Nareai-mura, Kamiya Motomura, Shitaya Motomura, iron village, Kurosuda-mura, Oba-mura, Ichigao village, the north hassaku orange village, the west hassaku orange village, small mountain village, Shimoasao-mura enclave, and, in the case of the municipalities system enforcement of 1889, it is in middle Satomura capital letter Aoto. Name of a street adopted the old name of a village.
It is said that this is because samurai of the Kamakura era, rating head, aotohidarieimonfujiko of the Kamakura Shogunate lived about origin of "Aoto" in hometown. Fujitsuna Aoto is just written down in "description of Kocho era" and "Taiheiki" and is not written down to "Azuma mirror", and it is unknown whether it is actual person. It is said that "Aoto" means "the ground, damp ground of riverside" in the place name study. The Tsurumi River flows through the east side, and the Onda River flows through the south side.

Name of a street adopted the old name of a village. The town which we founded from Tookaichiba-cho, Niiharucho, Nagatsuta-cho, a part of Mihocho with the enforcement of land readjustment project of 1981. It is old and says Tookaichiba-mura, and it merges with mountain village, Enoki Shimomura, Kubo village, Terayama village, daimura, upper Saruyama-mura, lower Saruyama-mura, Hongoson, Kamisuge Tamura, Araishinden in Kamoi-mura, and, in the case of the municipalities system enforcement of 1889, it is Shinji village capital letter Tokaichiba, and, in the case of Yokohama-shi admission in 1939, it is Tokaichiba. In 1968, land readjustment project name of this district was decided with "Kirigaoka division land rearranging business" and took the name as name of a street. Kirigaoka Park (child log house, drill native land) is at 5.

Name of a street adopted the old name of a village. Midori Ward government office, forest Park of the prefectural four seasons are in town, and firefly flies about the park to seasonal nature including Ashihara moor and forest of colored leaves in overflow, summer.

Name of a street adopted the old name of a village. It is said that it came to be called "Nakayama" from place where central part of village becomes hill. The Onda River flows through the north side, and Yokohama Line goes along the center, and there is Nakayama Station. Midori, Yokohama-shi sports center is in town.

It is said that we named to celebrate good omen of new village if we adopt the old name of a village as it was "Enokishitacho" and place that you should do, former village of neighboring villages. Name of a street adopted the old name of a village. The Tomei Expressway goes along the north side. Yokohama College of Commerce green campus is in town.

With administrative section reorganization of October 1, 1969, it is admitted (former) by Kohoku Ward. It is old and says Tsuzuki county Kubo village, and it merges with medium mountain village, Tookaichiba-mura, Enoki Shimomura, Terayama village, daimura, upper Saruyama-mura, lower Saruyama-mura, Kamoi-mura, Hongoson, Kamisuge Tamura, Araishinden, and, in the case of the municipalities system enforcement of 1889, it is Shinji village capital letter Kubo. Because there was already "Kubocho" in place where name of a street became "Kubocho" if we adopted the old name of a village, Old City of Yokohama, it was in three Tando, and Kubo village expressed mind of the friendship mutual help and, to celebrate cheerful development, we adopted "three" and "ho" of "Kubo" of "Mitani door" and named "Mihocho". Educational facilities such as Toyo Eiwa University and public house are in town a lot, and there are *joji, forest of sanhoshimin.
