Pet measures in the event of a disaster

Pet owners should make necessary preparations not only for themselves and their families, but also for their pets in advance to reduce the damage caused by the disaster.

Last Updated March 17, 2022

Give your pet the owner's contact information.

In a major disaster, pets may escape and become separated from the owner.
Attach a dog's license tag or rabies vaccination vote (for dogs), lost tag, microchip, etc.

Let's do what you need in the event of a disaster

When evacuating with a pet, both the owner and the pet must be able to move safely and not disturb the people around you.
Let's make necessary preparations in the event of a disaster on a daily basis.

・Don't be afraid of anyone other than the owner or other animals
・It can be excreted in a designated place
・You can follow basic instructions such as "let", "Sit down", "Sit down" and "Oide" (for dogs)

Let's take care of your pet properly.

Changes in the living environment associated with the disaster make it easier for pets to get sick.
Regularly carry out vaccination of rabies and other infectious diseases, extermination of fleas and ticks, etc., and manage health.

Let's have emergency stockpiles for pets

Be sure to have pet stockpiles as well as the owner's own emergency stockpile.
