Determination of insurance premiums

In June of each year, the premium amount from April of that year to March of the following year is determined according to the number of people who have taken out National Health Insurance and the income of the previous year (January to December). Determine for each household. In addition, for those who are 40 years old or older and under 65 years old, nursing care is added to cover the cost of the long-term care insurance system.
If the number of people who have taken out National Health Insurance and their income, etc. change after determining the amount of insurance premiums, or if all households are no longer insured by the National Health Insurance, recalculate the insurance premium To do.
The amount of insurance premium will be announced by the “National Health Insurance Premium Decision Notice” or “National Health Insurance Premium Amount Notice”.

Payment method

Insurance premiums must be paid monthly (10 times a year) from June to March of the following year by fund transfer or special collection (deduction from pension).

Start of payment of premiums

Insurance premiums must be paid from the month of becoming insured (stop the insurance you had previously subscribed) (not from the month of notification). If your registration is delayed, you will have to pay back to the previous minute. If you are late for insurance premiums

1.Sending a reminder letter, notice (address notice for seizure), etc.

Insurance premiums have each due date specified by the ordinance, and if payment cannot be made by the deadline, a reminder letter will be sent according to the regulations of the ordinance. In addition, notices (preceive notice for seizure) may arrive.

2.Occurrence of arrearages

Failure to pay by the specified deadline of the dunning letter will result in a late payment fee.

It is the amount calculated by multiplying the number of days from the day after the designated deadline of the dunning letter to the payment date by the rate specified by the ordinance.

3.Delinquencies (seizure of property)

If there is a delinquency of insurance premiums, we will investigate the property (Article 141 of the National Tax Collection Act).
As a result of the investigation, if a property that can be used for insurance premiums is found, property such as real estate, savings and savings, salary, life insurance, etc. can be seized without warning as a delinquent disposal based on the law (Article 47 of the National Tax Collection Act).

4.Non-payment of those who have been granted residence permit

Please note that renewal of your period of stay may not be allowed if there is a delinquency of insurance premiums.
