However, in recent years, the water demand structure has tended to increase the number of small-scale users due to the declining birthrate and aging population and the spread of water-saving equipment, while the number of large-scale users of factories and other facilities has decreased due to changes in socio-economic conditions. For this reason, when rates were revised in 1996 and 2001, the rate increase was revised and reduced to the current level.
Going forward, we will continue to consider how the fee system should be while considering the fairness of the fee burden and the stability of management.

2.It is strange that the price is the same from 0 to 16 m3 in two months. Even if you save money, you don't feel like saving the same amount.

At the current water rate in Yokohama City, the basic amount of water is set, and a certain amount of money is paid as a basic fee for use within that range. This basic fee is fixed, such as the cost of meter reading and water metering, regardless of the customer's use of water, and the cost of maintaining and installing large water supply facilities such as water purification plants and water distribution pipes. The basic amount of water in Yokohama has been set at 10m3 per month for about 40 years since 1963, based on the purpose of providing low-cost water in consideration of water and small-volume users necessary for daily life. However, in recent years, considering that the structure of water demand has changed, such as an increase in the number of customers using small quantities due to the declining birthrate and aging population and changes in lifestyles, the rate revision in 2001 has changed from 10m3 to 8m3 (2 months from 20m3 to 16m3).

3.Two households use the same house. Please charge separately.

If one meter is used for home use with two or more households, there is a system to calculate the water rate by applying the basic fee for each household at the request of the customer, but separate the fee Cannot be charged.

4. 13th is the fund transfer date for water charges, but the pension payment date is 15th, so please change the transfer date.

The transfer date from the water bill account was the 13th of the month following the meter reading, but from March 2008, the fund transfer date was set twice a month on the 13th and 29th, You can now choose either one.
However, on the transfer date on the 13th, re-transfer due to insufficient account balance will be on the 29th, but if you select the 29th, please note that there will be no re-transfer due to insufficient account balance etc.

5.I want to go to Water Works Bureau's to pay fees, but why can't I pay at Water Works Bureau window?
