Ending sales of “Hamako no The Water”

Order acceptance has been closed as of August 31, 2022.

 Since fiscal 2003, the “Hamako Water” project has promoted the connection between Doshimura and Yokohama City, a water source forest unique to Yokohama, and the importance of the watershed forest conservation. During the 20 years since the start of the project, the social interest in environmental issues, especially plastic issues, and Yokohama City was selected as a future city of SDGs and aiming for zero carbon by 2050.
 In light of this situation, we have decided to end sales of "Hamako no The Water" in fiscal 2022.
 With the support of everyone, "Hamako Do The Water" has sold a cumulative total of about 23 million copies in about 20 years, and we were able to develop our business.
 Thank you very much for your patronage for many years.

What is "Hamako no TheWater"?…

Bottling the clear water of the Doshi River, which flows through Doshi Village, Yamanashi Prefecture, one of the water sources in Yokohama.


Part of the proceeds from sales have been used to conservation activities and to support Africa.

"Hamako Do The Water" is a bottled water filled with clear water from the Doshi River, one of the water sources of Yokohama City.
The aim is to make customers aware of the importance of water source conservation, to raise interest in water sources and water supply businesses in Yokohama, and to understand the relationship between water source conservation and high quality water.
In addition, we have contributed to the creation of an environmentally friendly society by donating a portion of our sales to environmental conservation and international support.

Characteristics of “Hamako no The Water”

It uses 100% water from the historic Doshi village, which was described as "water that does not rot even beyond the equator." It has a soft mouthfeel.

To contribute to society

"Hometown of Water and Hajime Mori Kin"

In order to protect the water source of the Doshi River, which flows through Doshi Village, Yamanashi Prefecture, one of the water sources in Yokohama City.
We have donated a part of the sales to "Water Hometown Hajime Mori Gold" devoted to private forest maintenance.
With the cooperation of all of you, the watershed forest in Michishi Village is protected.

JICA Fund

The 4th Tokyo International Conference on African Development (TICADIV) was held in Yokohama in 2008.
Until FY2021, a cumulative total of approximately 6.6 million yen was donated to the JICA Fund of the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA).

"Pink Ribbon Campaign"

In 2017, we started selling pink ribbon bottles in collaboration with the Kanagawa Preventive Medicine Association (outside site).
This bottle contains a message from Dr. Takuko Doi, the representative of Pink Ribbon Kanagawa (outside site), and through the bottle, it has been enlightened the importance of early detection and early treatment of breast cancer.
