Storage of containers for disaster waste transport at the former Sakae Plant in Resources and Waste Recycling Bureau
The Ministry of the Environment has requested the storage of containers to be used for wide-area disposal of disaster waste. In Yokohama, 47 units are stored at the former Sakae Plant in Resources and Waste Recycling Bureau (1570-1 Kamigocho, Sakae-ku).
Containers were used by Rikuzentakata City, Ofunato City and Kamaishi City in Iwate Prefecture to treat disaster waste generated by the Great East Japan Earthquake in a wide area. .
