Environmental standard (newly) of the noise, request limit (newly) and request limit of vibration

In this page, we speak environmental standard of the noise, request limit and request limit of vibration.
Environmental standard of the noise based on Environmental Basic Law is applied from April 1, 1999 and is used for evaluation of result of a measurement from 1999 (Heisei 11).
In addition, limit of vehicle noise based on noise-control regulations is applied from April 1, 2000 and is used for evaluation of result of a measurement from 2000 (Heisei 12).
Environmental standard is not set about vibration.

About "request limit of vehicle noise"
Noise-control regulations Article 17 (request based on the measurement and opinion)
- When we admit that living environment around the road is spoiled remarkably by exceeding limit that vehicle noise in appointed place area sets in Prime Minister's Office Order when we measure Article 21 2, head of municipality shall call for taking measures by regulations of Road Traffic Act (1960 law No. 105) against Public Safety Commissions of To, Do, and Prefectures.
- When we remove case to call for by regulations of foregoing paragraph and admit that it is necessary when we perform 2 measurement of Article 21, head of municipality can speak opinion in road manager or the head of relations administration about matter contributing to decrease of size of improvement or other vehicle noise of structure of part of the road concerned.

- Head of municipality shall measure volume of noise about appointed place level.

- (2) From night 7:00 p.m., 8:00, 9:00 or 10:00 to 5:00 a.m. of the next day, 6:00, 7:00 or 8:00
- In Yokohama-shi, we adopt the time mentioned above by Yokohama-shi notification No. 63 on March 25, 1986.

About "request limit of car vibration"
Vibration regulation law Article 16 (request based on the measurement)
- We shall call for head of municipality calls for doing measures of pavement, maintenance for prevention of road traffic vibration or repair because of part of the road concerned for road manager when we admit that living environment around the road is remarkably spoiled by exceeding limit that road traffic vibration in appointed place area sets in Prime Minister's Office Order when we measure Article 19 or doing measures by regulations of Road Traffic Act (1960 law No. 105) for Public Safety Commissions of To, Do, and Prefectures.
- When road manager has request of foregoing paragraph, for prevention of road traffic vibration when admit that it is necessary, shall do measures of pavement, maintenance of part of the road concerned or repair.
Vibration regulation law Article 19 (the measurement of vibration)
- Head of municipality shall measure size of vibration about appointed place level.
