Maximum permissible level (sulfur, benzene) of quantity of material included in fuel of car

In this page, we speak Ministry of the Environment notification that determined maximum permissible level of quantity such as benzene included in gasoline based on regulations of 2 Paragraph 1 of Air Pollution Control Act Article 19.

Based on regulations of 2 Paragraph 1 of Air Pollution Control Act (1968 law No. 97) Article 19, we set maximum permissible level about property of fuel of car and maximum permissible level of quantity of material included in fuel of car as follows and apply from April 1, 1996.
We do with just what to raise maximum permissible level about property of fuel of car of 2 Paragraph 1 of Air Pollution Control Act Article 19 and maximum permissible level of quantity of material included in fuel of car to undermentioned column of the table for each material included in property of fuel to raise in column in type of fuel of car to raise in top column of separate table and the table or fuel.

- Remarks
- When we measure 1 by method to set of 4 or 5 of Japanese Industrial Standards K2255 that "do not be detected", the result says that the lower limit levels of application division of the method concerned are or less.
- With 2 "oxygen", we do with number at having measured by method to set of 2, 4 or 6 of Japanese Industrial Standards K2536.
- 3 "cetane index" means property of light oil which we calculated by method to set of Japanese Industrial Standards K2280.
- 4 "quality of 90% clip temperature" means property of light oil which we calculated by method to set of Japanese Industrial Standards K2254.

The Air Pollution Control Act (1968 law No. 97)
2 of Article 19
When we admit that it is necessary to plan prevention of atmospheric pollution with car exhaust gas on setting maximum permissible level of preceding article Paragraph 1, the Minister of the Environment must set maximum permissible level about property of fuel of car or maximum permissible level of quantity of material included in fuel of car.
The Minister of Economy Trade and Industry must consider to plan prevention of atmospheric pollution with 2 car exhaust gas when we set necessary matter about regulation to modify fuel of car by order based on law (1976 law No. 88) about securing of quality such as volatile oil so that maximum permissible level of foregoing paragraph is found.
